Après quatre mois de programmation riche en diversité et qualité des artistes, dans chacune des 31 communes du territoire de l’Agglomération Royan Atlantique, les Jeudis musicaux des églises romanes en Pays royannais confient ce jeudi le soin à la violoniste française Hélène Schmitt de clore l’édition 2009 du festival.

Lauréate de trois prix internationaux (Musica Antiqua Bruges en 1993, Van Wassenaer à Amsterdam en 1994 et Schmelzerpreis à Melk en 1996), Hélène Schmitt se consacre essentiellement au répertoire soliste pour violon des XVIIe, XVIIIe et début XIXe siècles. Elle montre aussi une prédilection particulière pour la musique et la culture italiennes et allemandes.

Hélène Schmitt interprétera ce soir les « Sonate et partitas » de Jean-Sébastien Bach.

Concert à 21 heures. Ouverture de la billetterie sur place à 20 h 15. Tarif unique : 12 euros. Source
