Le maire d’Arces-sur-Gironde, Yves Pérochain, a présenté lors du dernier Conseil municipal le plan communal de sauvegarde élaboré par son adjoint Jean-Paul Roy.La décision prise en 2008 de rendre totalement libre la plantation de vignes sur tout le territoire de l’Union européenne à partir du 1er janvier 2016, provoque de très vives inquiétudes chez les professionnels, les élus et plus largement les citoyens.

Ce mouvement de contestation concerne aussi la commune d’Arces-sur-Gironde.

Les élus demandent au gouvernement et au chef de l’État de poursuivre leurs efforts et de convaincre avant la fin de l’année les quelques États membres nécessaires à la formation d’une majorité qualifiée.

Compte tenu de ses charges de travail importantes, Yves Pérochain souhaite démissionner de son rôle de délégué titulaire du Syndicat intercommunal à vocation sociale (Sivos) des communes d’Arces-sur-Gironde, Barzan, Chenac-Saint-Seurin et Épargnes.

Nicole Berny, déléguée titulaire, est nommée pour le remplacer.S
