La section gymnastique du foyer rural d’Arces-sur-Gironde organisait une randonnée le dimanche 7 avril.Le rendez-vous avait été fixé par les organisateurs sur le parking de Talmont. Ils étaient une bonne trentaine de courageux sportifs à avoir bravé la température (6°) et la grisaille matinale, pour se rassembler au point de rencontre.

Nicole Berny les attendait pour les accueillir, leur donner les instructions et le top départ.

À 9 heures précises, les randonneurs s’élançaient pour un parcours de 13,5 km, de Talmont à Meschers (aller-retour) en longeant la côte par la digue, avant de traverser les marais pour rejoindre Arces-sur-Gironde.

Après avoir franchi la ligne d’arrivée, encore bien frais pour la plupart d’entre eux, les marcheurs ont été accueillis par Joël et Sylvie Riché, au camping Fleurs des Champs.

Un apéritif et un bon repas leur ont été servis, histoire de les ragaillardir des efforts consentis au cours de la matinée.
